JBL Holdings is a small family owned company. We started this company just like many of our owners did. We were putting money away each month for our oldest’s college education when he was a baby. Each month we would receive a statement and although we had added money to the account, our balance was often going down. We decided to diversify and purchase a couple rental properties. This is when we learned how time consuming managing your own properties can be. We looked into property management companies to help us and they were all so expensive, charging 10% of the monthly rent or more. Or, we could pay less and receive little to no service. We knew there had to be a better way and that is when JBL Holdings was born!
Tenant Retention
The biggest expense in owning rental properties is tenant turn over. Even if the tenant leaves your property in perfect condition, spoiler alert…that almost never happens. The owner has the expense of finding a new tenant, getting the home ready; paint touch-up, potential capital replacements or upgrades, professional cleaning, etc. All of this needs to be done right and efficiently, or the owner will then have lost rent due to vacancy.
